Getting rid of duplicates

Having duplicates in your data can be a huge pain. Have you ever been in a situation where you have a big list of people but some are there twice, or even three times? When you’re working with large datasets, the problem of duplicates is bound to pop up and knowing the best way to get rid of them can

save you tremendous time and energy.  Thankful y, Excel 2007 provides a quick and easy tool to get rid of duplicates. First, you have to be able to identify if you even have a problem, ie, know if there are even duplicates in your dataset.

To do this, you can use a formula like IF or CountIF, or you could even use conditional formatting. Then, once you find out that you’ve got duplicates, you’ll need to use the special tool for getting rid of them built into Excel 2007.
